Now, Shakib Khan's “Toofan” is also set to be released there. However, as confirmed by the production company Alpha i, instead of Bengali, the film will be dubbed in Urdu for its Pakistani audience.

Bangladesh movie star Shakib Khan said he wanted to make waves by bringing together the world of cinema and cricket.

In a recent media interview, Shakib faced tough questions about the delicate relationship between India and Bangladesh and offered his perspective on the matter.

Celebrated actor Afran Nisho recently announced that the long-awaited shooting for his next film is set to begin in November or December this year, with the movie expected to be released during next year’s Eid-ul-Azha. The actor also revealed that he will continue working in films but in his own distinctive style.

Filmmaker Khijir Hayat Khan, a member of the newly formed board, confirmed the news last evening, noting that the film impressed the board members. “The certification board has praised the movie without any cuts,” Khan informed the Daily Prothom Alo.

Last Eid-ul-Azha, filmmaker Raihan Rafi created a buzz by directing “Toofan” starring Dhallywood’s megastar Shakib Khan. At the end of the movie, it is hinted that “Toofan 2” will be coming. 

A Dhaka team has officially been acquired by Remark, a health and beauty care brand, and Herlan, a cosmetics line, for the upcoming 11th Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). The team, named Dhaka Capitals, is also being represented by Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan, considering he oversees the brands as their director.

Rafi, known for his hit films like “Poran” and “Damal,” among others broke the news about this next venture yesterday. Speaking to Bangla Tribune, he revealed, “My next film, which is slated for release during the upcoming Eid, is titled ‘Lion’. It will feature two leading men—Jeet from Tollywood and Razz from Dhallywood. Everything else you’ve heard is just rumours.”

After staying out of the public eye for nearly two months, Shakib Khan re-emerged in Dhaka, flaunting a bold new look that could easily be interpreted as being synonymous wih that of a South Indian film hero.

After back-to-back industry hits like “Priyotoma” and “Toofan,” Shakib Khan is riding high on success. These films have not only taken the Bangladeshi box office by storm but have also helped Bangla cinema gain international recognition. As he marks 25 years in the industry, Shakib seems to be shining brighter than ever.

The film industry continues to face significant challenges as most cinemas remain closed, and the few that have reopened are struggling due to a lack of new releases. Filmmakers are hesitant to debut their projects in this climate, forcing theatre owners to rely on screening older films. 

Yesterday, celebrities Mamnun Emon and Bidya Sinha Saha Mim arrived in Chandpur, delivering a special message from Shakib Khan. They spent the entire day distributing flood relief among the common people.  

Now, the hit movie starring Shakib Khan is set for release in Bihar, India, through the Indian distribution company Shree Venkatesh Films.

Raihan Rafi’s film will be released on not just one, but two OTT platforms. The director shared the news on his official Facebook page.

The film “Toofan”, starring Shakib Khan, Mimi Chakraborty, and Nabila, hit theatres last Eid-ul-Azha and quickly garnered significant attention from audiences nationwide. Directed by Raihan Rafi, the film sparked interest even before its release, especially with the launch of the song “Dushtu Kokil” on June 26, which was featured on two prominent YouTube channels. 

The much-anticipated film “Toofan,” starring superstar Shakib Khan, has finally hit theatres in Malaysia starting August 23, following two previous delays. 

After breaking records in Bangladeshi theatres, “Toofan” also won over audiences in the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe, and the Middle East. The film is now all set to be released in Malaysia.

Since the anti-discrimination student movement, Dhallywood has experienced a prolonged period of inactivity, with both the release and production of new films coming to a standstill. Although the interim government has gradually initiated plans for new movies, many productions are still falling behind schedule.

Raihan Rafi's “Toofan” has not only gained popularity in Bangladesh but has also performed well in theatres in the US, Australia, and Canada.

The nation faced widespread disruption and violence during the anti-discrimination student movement, which also took a toll on the film industry. Although the situation began to stabilise after the interim government assumed control, filmmakers are hesitant to release their movies. As a result, release dates are being postponed repeatedly, with no clear indication of when new films will hit the screens.
