The Television Playwrights’ Association has announced its new executive committee for the 2026–2028 term, with playwright and director Shihab Shaheen elected president and playwright Mezbah Uddin Sumon general secretary.

Actress Nusraat Faria’s arrest in an alleged attempted murder case has drawn widespread criticism from prominent artistes and cultural figures, especially those who were vocal during the July uprising. The upcoming film “Daagi” has recently unveiled its romantic track “Ektukhani Mon”, penned by Sadat Hossain and performed by artistes Tahsan and Masha.
