India has unveiled a spacecraft which is expected to take off for the moon next month, making the country only the fourth to achieve the feat.

The Moon is steadily shrinking, causing wrinkling on its surface and quakes, according to an analysis of imagery captured by NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO).

Israel's attempt at a moon landing fails at the last minute when the craft suffered an engine failure as it prepared to land and apparently crashed onto the lunar surface.
