A poacher was arrested yesterday with a tiger skin from Rayenda Bazar of Sharankhola in Bagerhat.

More than three tigers were poached in Bangladesh every year over the last four years, according to a report published by TRAFFIC, a UK-based international non-profit working on trade in wildlife and plants.

Detectives in a drive arrest six people along with a tiger skin in Koyra upazila of Khulna last night.

Skulls of a tiger and a fishing cat, 15 pieces of animal bones and a deer skin were seized from a shop at Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) Market of Gulshan-2 in Dhaka.
