United Power Generation and Distribution Company Ltd (UPGDCL) posted a massive rise in profit in the first quarter, driven by higher tariffs and stable forex rates.

The company's profit rose to Tk 312.45 crore from Tk 248.1 crore in the third quarter of 2022-23

Its profit fell to Tk 801 crore in FY23, down from Tk 997 crore in FY22
