Bangladeshi-Canadian filmmaker Wahid Ibn Reza has brought international recognition to Bangladesh’s animation industry after his short animated film “After Us” won three awards at the 2026 Leo Awards in Canada.

Hassan Abidur Reja Jewel, a revered figure in Bangladesh's music and television industry, passed away yesterday, leaving behind a rich legacy spanning over three decades. Known for his soulful voice and exceptional production skills, Jewel emerged as a prominent artiste in the early 1990s when band music was burgeoning in the country.

It’s a tough job for a parent to find a suitable online video programme for children, especially in Bangla. Sorry to say, there is not much out there. Keeping this challenge in mind, a team of creative people came forward to make a 3D animated adventure series in Bangla language exclusively for children, and it is the first of its kind.

The visual FX team of Bangladeshi filmmaker Wahid Ibn Reza has been nominated for the Academy Awards for their visual effects in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.
