THE BARE MINIMUM

THE BARE MINIMUM

Planning a winter road trip? Here's a list of 5 things you absolutely can't do without when you travel during winter.

1.    Blankets
You don't want to be stuck in the cold if your car breaks down, do you? The temperature will be quite cold if you are planning a trip to the north, so packing a few comfy blankets can actually prove to be life-saving.

2.    Water and Healthy Snacks
While it's true that you can find water in any convenience on the way, we recommend taking a couple of bottles with you in case of emergencies. Also, opt for healthy snacks like fruits, nuts, energy bars or homemade sandwiches, instead of bingeing on cheap, fatty snacks.

3.    Spare Tires
Check your spare tires before your road trip to check if it's properly inflated and in working condition. This is to make sure that you're prepared in case of a flat. In fact, check if your car is in full working condition before your road trip.

4.    Moisturiser
Moisturise regularly to avoid chapped skin and painful rashes all over your face and body. Also, don't be fooled into thinking that your skin won't tan just because it's winter, so take a sunscreen with you.

5.    Extra Cell Phone with Charger
You don't want to be stranded in the middle of nowhere with no mode of communication, do you? Even if you are travelling with other people, be sure to pack an extra cell phone with charger for added security.
