Toll or extortion?

We are surprised to learn from the news that the government is going to impose new tolls on the roads. We are already paying tolls on different highways. Adding fresh toll is nothing but extortion. It is just a way to manage cash for party cadres.
Common people of Bangladesh are overburdened with taxes, vats, excise duties, various forms of bank charges and recently increased electricity prices. People also suffer because of the regular increase in daily commodity prices, transport fares and so on. We urge the government to cancel this unjustified decision immediately.
