Ukraine crisis

This refers to the report,” Obama urges Russia to set up monitoring team” (March 5). The hidden agenda of the US is elimination of the Russian naval base in Ukraine which is very vital for security of Russia.   The US succeeded in destroying Soviet Union, without even shedding a drop of blood. It was a marvellous stroke on the chess board of international politics, with dream result of the US becoming the sole superpower in the world. The US is feeling threatened by Russian Federation, which is an umbrella of the most of the nations of the erstwhile Soviet Union. The US also wants to avenge Russian asylum to the US whistleblower Edward Snowden, who disclosed the secret surveillance by the US on a global scale, including on the governments of the UK, France, and Germany. Now the US wants to destroy the Russian naval base in Ukraine without any direct military action.
