Jahangirnagar University gets new VC

Professor Md Nurul Alam was appointed the new vice chancellor of Jahangirnagar University (JU) today.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Education, President Abdul Hamid – also chancellor of the university – appointed him as the new JU VC.

Prof Nurul Alam, a teacher of the Department of Physics, has been appointed temporarily, the notification cited.

He was the pro vice-chancellor of the university.

According to the notification, he will enjoy all the benefits related to the position.
