UP chairman candidate murdered in Sirajganj
A Union Parishad chairman candidate was murdered by unidentified miscreants at Alamnagar under Shahjadpur upazila Wednesday night.
The victim was identified as Anwar Sadat Sohel, 32, president of BNP Habibullah Nagar unit.
According to police, the miscreants swooped on Sohel while he was returning home after election campaign. They beat Sohel mercilessly and stabbed in the chest. He died on the spot.
Superintendent of police, Sirajganj, visited the spot and a case was filed in this connection.
