Clash leaves 50 injured in Habiganj

Witnesses said the trouble erupted at about 4pm when the supporters of Shahid Mia and Safar Ali clashed over playing football on a land adjacent to a graveyard.

During the hour-long clash, both sides used lethal weapons.

Of the injured, Safar Ali, Samaruddin and Amirul Islam were admitted to Sylhet Medical College Hospital and 14 others to Habiganj Sadar Hospital.
