48 more Rohingyas repatriated

Forty-eight more Rohingya refugees of eight families went back to Myanmar from Nayapara and Kutupalong refugee camps here yesterday, officials said.

Officials of Bangladesh government and UNHCR saw them off on the bank of Naaf river at Teknaf.

Myanmar immigration officials received them at Kaningchong reception centre.

With this, a total of 2,34,297 Rohingya refugees of 46,826 families have so far returned to their homeland.
