One held for Tk 8 cr 'swindle' in Ctg

Double Mooring police said they arrested one Quamruzzaman alias Chan Mia from Kadamtoli on Thursday for allegedly defrauding 35 businessmen in the port city and fleeing with the money in October last year.

One of the victims--Nurul Afser, who was cheated of Tk 1.20 crore, had filed a case with Kotoali police on December 30 last year.

Chan Mia was arrested when he reappeared in the area on Thursday.
