Alleged woman child lifter held in Bogra

Police said, the villagers caught Shafali, daughter of Akher Ali of Tilokpara village under Sadullahpur upazila in Gaibandha district, when she and two other women wearing 'burka' (veil) were allegedly trying to lift three children-- Sonia, Urmi and Mitu--- from Dhunat Bazar on July 17.

People of Bogra have become panicked as attempts to lift 12 female children from different areas of the district were foiled from July 15 to 17.

Police said Shafali will be sent to Dhaka for interrogation by a joint cell.
