Mother of five kills husband

The incident took place at Islampur village in Babuganj upazila in the early hours of Thursday.

Nasima Begum, wife of Shadat Hossain alias Sader Ali, had an illicit relation with Amir Hossain, 28, husband of her sister-in-law for about two years.

As the affair came to light, Nasima and Amir planned to hill him.

At about 12:30 am on Thursday, Nasima and Amir

entered Sader Ali's room and slaughtered him while he was asleep.

Hearing Sader Ali's groaning and screams of his children, neighbours rushed there and caught Nasima. Amir escaped.

Sader died at the spot and Nasima was handed over to police immediately.

Nasima in a confessional statement under Section 164 of CRPC, recorded by Magistrate Abdus Sabur on Thursday in Barisal narrated how the two killed Sader.

The body was sent to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

Village chowkider Allauddin lodged a murder case with Babuganj thana against Nasima and Amir under Section 302(34) of CRPC.

Meanwhile, Zakir Hossain, 40, injured by top terror of Barisal Terra Shajahan on September 16, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Thursday, according to reports reaching here.
