Four outlaws arrested in Khulna

Four outlaws were arrested from Rayermahal area under Khalispur thana on Monday.

Sonadanga Police arrested four cadres of M-L faction of the outlawed Purbo Banglar Communist Party (PBCP) including two women. They were identified as Abul Kashem,50, Ramjan,30, Anowara,40, and Delwara,34.

On interrogation police recovered from Ramjan a Chinese rifle, a six-shooter gun, a home made pipe gun, three live powerful hand bombs, 20 rifle bullets, explosive substances and posters with a call to kill cops and their informers.

The arrested women confessed to police that they carried arms and ammunition, bombs and posters to Ramjan Shaikh from other cadres of the outlawed PBCP (M-L) in exchange for money. They used to move in guise to different parts of Rupsha east area.

Sonadanga thana Officerin-Charge (OC) Nesar Ahmed told this correspondent that the arrested would be taken on remand for further questioning.

Armed cadres of two rival factions of the outlawed PBCP already penetrated into Khulna city from the neighbouring upazillas to establish their dominance. They mix with the general people in guise and make it difficult to identify themselves.
