Chicken Tk 40 per kg in Mymensingh

At present poultry birds are being sold between Tk 40 to 45 per kilogram (kg) which were being sold at Tk 55 previously.

Owners of 400 poultry farms in the district are the worst sufferers.

Provash Chandra Saha, owner of Rafti Poultry told The Daily Star that they are selling a one-kg poultry bird at Tk 35 which they bought at Tk 50 a few days ago.

Local traders have hung the advertisement of Bangladesh Poultry Industries Association published on national dailies which say poultry birds of our country are safe from bird flu.
