Hunger strike in front of UNO office
Members of the Gobindaganj Upazila Citizens' Committee staged a day-long hunger strike on the premises of the UNO office on Saturday demanding release of its convenor Abdul Matin Mollah.
They demanded withdrawal of the "false" case against Matin Mollah and arrest of alleged terrorist and money lender Arifur Rahman Liton for filing the case.
A brief rally was also held there. It was addressed by, among others, Aminul Islam Golap, convenor of Gaibandha Citizens' Committee, Nazrul Islam, Sheikh Sadek Ali, Mojibar Rahman, Mrinal Kanti Barman and Lutfar Rahman.
