Three firearms snatched from police not recovered yet

Police are deployed at the spot and two divers engaged to search the arms in the riverbed.

Four policemen--Habilder Abdul Matin and constables Jane Alam, Moni Chakma and Sukumer--were on duty at MLC Queen which was going to Bhairabbazar from Nabinagar with 130 passenger and a good number of cattle traders. Sukumar was killed in the heist.

Police later found one of the looted rifles near Zia Fertilizer Company terminal near the spot.

The search by divers will continue, Police Superintendent ATM Tarek said.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Md Jahangir Hussain said that they have also sent wireless massage to other police stations in this regard.
