Arrested Atik was also engaged in arms and drug smuggling.

A police team headed by SI Monirul Gias raided Atik's house in Pokurpar area of Brahmanbaria Pourasabha and arrested him.

He is an accused in several cases filed at Brahmanbaria sadar thana and Akhaura Government Railway Police (GRP), police sources said.

Atik was sent to Brahmanbaria Jail custody, police sources told this correspondent.
