NGO Federation units elected in Nilphamari, Manikganj

Units of the Federation of NGOs in Bangladesh (FNB) have been elected in Nilphmari and Manikganj

Our Nilphamari Correspondent reported that Liyakat Ali Khan, Senior Programme Manager of Rangpur-Dinajpur Rural Service (RDRS) and Ezazul Haque Sarkar, Programme Officer of SAPNO NEER, were recently elected FNB president and secretary respectively for a two-year term.

Representatives of 50 NGOs took party in the election, held at the RDRS office here.

Other office bearers are Mahbubul Alam, Chief Executive, SHARP-Syedpur (vice-chairman); Md Ismail Hossain, Chairman, JIBIKA UNNYAN SANGSTHA- Domar (treasurer); Ezazul Haque Sarkar, Programme Officer, SAPNO NEER-Jaldhaka (secretary); and Dipen Roy, Executive Director, SEBA-Syedpur and Bazlur Rashid, Regional co-ordinator, BRAC (both executive committee members).

Our Manikganj Correspondent reported that Md Serajul Islma (SEDS) and zahidul Islam Khokon (DAC) were elected president and secretary respectively of the district FNB recently.

Md Abu Musa (BRAC) and Abdul kader Tipu (SPC) were elected vice-presidents and Jalal Uddin (PARD) was elected treasurer.

The members are Aby Sayeed Musa ( Sonali Swapan), kazi Aminur rahman (Ekok), Nurul Islam (MAS), Monjur Alam Khan ( HRDS), Abdur rashid (SAD), Nasir Uddin Ahmed (ASU), Farid Khan (ADS), Principal MAM Rokunuzzaman (BBCDS), ABM Shamsunnabi Tulip (Dowel), Ferdous Ahmed ( ERDF), Md Zakir Hossain (Palli Unnayan Manobik Sangstha) and jahanara parvin (Swadesh).
