Former food inspector faces graft case in Bhola
The Bureau of Anti- corruption (BAC) has lodged a case with Lalmohan thana against Mominul Alam, former food inspector of Lalmohan food godown for alleged misappropriation of food grains worth about Tk 11.47 lakh during his service here last year.
Police said the then Lalmohon Thana Food Officer Siddiqur Rahman had lodged a general diary on May 29 last year against Mominul Alam for alleged misappropriation of 75.868 metric tons of wheat, 7,30 metric tons of rice and 638 sacs.
The BAC found irregularities during investigation, and its inspector Mahatab Uddin recently filed a case with Lalmohan thana accusing Alam for the irregularities involving food grains worth about Tk 11.47 Lakh, police said.
