A young man at Koraitola village under Senbagh upazila in Noakhali took his life on Sunday to get rid of the curse of poverty.

Senbagh police said the 22-year-old youth named Harun, son of a poor shallow pump driver Solaiman became sentimental after being failed to bring rice from market when his mother Monwara Begum asked for it.

He felt a pang of guilt and at once swallowed poison. His near and dear ones rushed him to Noakhali General Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead. Later, the dead was sent to the hospital morgue.
