Former ward commissioner sent to jail
Bazlul Huq Chistry Koyesh, a former ward commissioner in Barisal city , was sent to jail when he surrendered before the Speedy Trial Tribunal (STT) on Sunday.
STT Magistrate Iqbal Hassan refused his bail prayer as he surrendered to court as per a High Court order.
Koyes and six others were accused under the Speedy Trial Act in a case filed on March 10.
