2 killed in Kushtia

In the first incident, Purbo Banglar Communist Party (PBCP) Janajuddho cadres gunned down another outlaw at Lakhimipur village in Damurhuda, Chuadanga on Friday night, according to police.

The victim was identified as Isarat Ali, 45, a cadre of notorious killer Nuruzzaman Laltu also of PBCP.

Ten PBCP men stormed into the victim's house at about 8.30 pm and called him out of his house. They took him to a nearby field and shot him pointblank killing him instantaneously.

Police sent the body to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital for autopsy.

The second incident happened in Meherpur where a 60-year-old woman was kicked to death by the son of her husband's brother at Bhabanipur village in Gangni upazila.

According to police, Nabir Uddin, 27, son of Chagiruddin fatally kicked his uncle's wife Saleha Khatun following an altercation over family feud.
