Students lock principal's room
A section of students of Magura Government Mahila College locked the office room of the Principal and the main gate of the college yesterday demanding removal of the principal following transfer of four teachers ahead of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination.
Above 200 students also brought out a rally in the town and submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner.
In the memorandum they alleged the principal's involvement in the transfer and demanded her transfer. They said the transfer of teachers will affect students appearing at the upcoming HSC examinees and demanded that the four teachers be brought back.
Principal Hosneara Begum, when contacted, said she was not involved in the transfer of teachers. She however said she id trying to bring the four teachers back to the college.
