PIB training on environmental journalism begins

The Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) organised the course.

PIB director general Dr Rezwan Hossain Siddiqui opened the training course, while PIB senior trainer and course co-ordinator Shahana Huda, Manikganj Press Club president AFM Nurtaj Alam Bahar, PIB assistant trainer Shakawat Noon addressed the inaugural function.

In the second session, the PIB DG spoke on the technique of environmental reporting and identifying the topic, while the director (programme) of Environment and Social Development Organisation (ESDO) Siddika Sultana spoke on bio-diversity.

Twenty newsmen of print media and electronic media take part in the course which ends on June 23.
