20 injured in Kushtia clash
At least 20 people including three women were injured in a clash between two groups of villagers at Mirerpara village in Daulatpur upazila over land dispute on Saturday.
A group was led by Akram, while the other by Mahatab. The groups locked in clash when Mahatab group tried to occupy a piece of land of Akram.
On information, Akram's men rushed to the spot with sharp weapons and attacked their rivals in the afternoon. Mahatab's men also retaliated.
Both the groups used lethal weapons in the clash leaving 20 persons injured.
Injured Akram, 35, Jubeda Khatun, 40, Khairul Islam, 42, Mufazzel Hossain, 48, Rabea Khatun, 45, Safiqul Islam, 32, and Rafiqul Islam, 36, were admitted to Daulatpur Health Complex.
