Magura AL councils held

A 51-member Magura pourasava AL committee with advocate Rafiqul Akbar Nanna as its president and Md Baki Imam as general secretary was formed at its council held at Asaduzzaman Auditorium. Advocate Rafiqul Akbar presided.

The party also formed a 71-member Shalikha thana committee with Munshi Israyeel Hossain and Advocate Shyamol Kumar Dey as president and general secretary at its council held on Arpara College premises. District AL convener Md Altaf Hossain presided over the council.

The councils were addressed by, among others, former state minister Talukder Abdul Khaleque MP, Prof Md Serajul Akber MP, former MP Biren Shikder and district AL joint convener Abu Nasir Bablu.

Earlier on April 11, Shalikha thana AL council ended in squabbles over whether there would be election or selection of a committee.
