Absconding convict arrested in Kishoreganj

Absconding criminal Shukkur Ali was arrested by Pirijpur Police Camp In-Charge Habilder Haider Ali from his home at Pirijpur village in Bajitpur upazila, Kishoreganj.

On December 29 in 2000, a gang of dacoits led by Shukkur Ali entered into the trading house of renowned businessmen Ferdous Mia at Barabazaar in Kishoreganj town and killed two of his employees Abdul Barik and Mosharaf Hossen. The dacoits took away Tk 12 lakh in cash and 110 tolas of gold.

On December 4 in 2003, the Speedy Tribunal Court-4, Dhaka sentenced 10 persons to death.

Seven convicts including Shukkur Ali were absconding.
