Bomb attack: 6 held in Barisal

Five persons including three BNP leaders were injured in the attack.

Police sources told Asaduzzaman Khasru, General Secretary of Barisal city BNP and Divisional Sports Association, A T M Shahidullah Kabir, city ward BNP Secretary and Khasru's elder brother, ShafiqulAlam Gulzar, district BNP Treasurer, BCC ward commissioner and Secretary District Sports Association, Zahid Hossain, Secretary, District Football Association, Shaidul Islam Faruk and others were holding an informal meeting at the stadium.

Suddenly four young men riding on two motorcycles rushed and threw two powerful bombs.

The arrested are Saiful Azam Shahin, Sechchhashebok League leader of Ward No 12, Manirul Huq Chan, Shamsul Huq, Habibur Rahman, Rezaul Huq Rana and Kawsar Hossain.
