Woman college teacher found dead at house

Jannat Parveen Mina, 37, an assistant professor of political science at Talbaria Degree College in Jessore Sadar upazila, was found dead on Sunday morning on the floor of her rented house at the satellite town.

Her collar bone was broken and face bore deep marks of biting with teeth.

Police recovered her body from the house, owned by one Motaleb Hossain. Her husband Ashraful Islam was in Brahmanbaria, where he works with an NGO.

Police seized some biscuits, a tea cup and a tea spoon. The door of her bedroom was open.

Police said she might have been raped before murder. The killers looted her ornaments and money. Her 10-month old son Saeef was sleeping when the brutal murder was committed in the drawing room, police said.
