Grameen Bank staff held for rape

The arrested is Ayubul Haq,30, Field Supervisor of Grameen Bank of Nababganj branch in Dimla.

The victim, an inhabitant of West Shalhati village, in a case filed with Dimla Thana alleged that Ayubul raped her in absence of her husband on Saturday night. She also alleged that the rapist tried to lure her to allot a loan for her.

Hearing a cry of the victim, local people rushed to her house and caught the rapist.

They handed over him to police the next morning. Police sent him to jail after producing him to a court.

Meanwhile, the branch manager of Grameen Bank on Sunday in a written statement to Dimla police told that his field supervisor went to the spot to realise the loan installment money of the bank. But his realised money was looted by criminals who confined him in a house at the village. They are trying to divert the fact, the Grameen Bank manager further alleged.
