Magura JCD leader held
Police on Monday arrested the district joint secretary of Jatiyatab-adi Chhatra Dal (JCD) Sanaul Huq Tanmoy and his cousin Abid Hossain on charge of collecting illegal toll and assaulting a transport workers' union leader.
Unruly youths allegedly led by Tanmoy and Abid collected toll illegally from different vehicles on the Magura-Faridpur highway in Bhaina area in the morning on the day. They also beat up the district joint secretary of the district transport workers' union, Amir Ali who resisted them from collecting toll.
A case was filed with the Sadar police station.
