VGF rice seized from shop

VGF rice were distributed among 1,522 distressed people in Mehari union by Union Parishad (UP) chairman Md Alam and his members.

Though every person was supposed to get 30 kg of rice, yet each of them got 25 to 26 kg of rice only. This way the chairman and members saved rice weighing 2,500 kg.

When they were about to sell VGF rice to a shop keeper, local people informed police and recovered the sacks of rice.
