Bus dacoity in Gaibandha

Eight to 10 highwaymen in guise of passengers boarded the Kurigram-bound night coach at Mahasthangarh and started snatching cash and valuables from passengers at arms point. The bandits compelled the driver to stop the bus at a point where the boundary of Shibganj upazila ends and fled away with the booty. They threatened the passengers not to raise a hue and cry.

Afterwards, passengers brought the coach to Gobindaganj Thana for filing a case. They blamed the driver and the supervisor for their involvement in the incident.

Gobindaganj police visited the spot and informed the matter to Shibganj police. Later, the driver set for its destination.
