Workers clash at Satkhira Textile Mills: 10 hurt

The clash occurred over establishment of supremacy in the mills. Mill Rakkha Committee (save the mill committee formed against Collective Bargaining Agent (CBA) and CBA brought out two separate processions inside the mill compound. Both the groups armed with lethal weapons locked in a clash that lasted for about half an hour.

According to eye-witnesses and workers, there had been a conflict between the two groups of workers over issuing no confidence against CBA leaders allegedly for misuse of power, defalcation, working against mill workers.

The victims are Abdul Hakim, Sarat Ali, Abdul Gafoor, Liakat Ali, Mozammel Hossain, Mohammad Ali, Abu Bakkar and others. They were taking treatment at Satkhira hospital.
