Memorial built for 25 freedom fighters

Moulvibazar municipality constructed the Shahid Minar at Moulvibazar Government Boys' High School play ground.

On this day (December 20) in 1971, the golden sons of the soil embraced martyrdom when a mine fell down the floor of the school from of a freedom fighter's hand. It exploded with a big bang, damaged the school building and killed them on the spot. People buried them with due honour at the school ground.
