Trader bombed dead, 7 houses looted
A businessman was killed in a bomb attack when armed robbers committed dacoity in seven houses on Sunday night at Joyrajpur in Damurhuda upazila in Chuadanga.
According to Chuadanga police, a gang of armed robbers stormed into the house of Jamil Hossain Akhter at about 2 am.
They hurled two powerful bombs on Jamil Akhter when he tried to resist them. He died on the spot.
The gang looted Tk 25000 and valuables worth about Tk 3 lakh from houses of Jamil and his neighbours.
Police recovered the body next morning and sent it to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
A case has been filed with Damurhuda police station.
