Prof Abu Bakar Siddique Bhuiyan of Anthrophology Department has been elected a member of Board of Directors of the Institute of Bangladesh Studies (IBS), while Prof Sadequl Islam of Political Science Department has been elected a member of Inter-University Cultural Board for 2005-'06 session.

Prof Shah Mohammad Habibur Rahman of Economics Department and Prof Abdul Hamid of Philosophy Department have been elected members of Board of Studies of IBS, while Prof Omar Ali of Management Department has been elected a member of Board of Directors of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA).
