Tk 5 lakh garments seized while being smuggled out

BDR sources said, acting on a tip off, a special team of BDR 12 battalion searched a Bhomra-bound truck and recovered the goods.

The garments contained in six cartoons included trouser, tracksuit, half-pant, T-shirt etc. These were being taken to the border for smuggling out to India, BDR sources said.

The seized garments were deposited with Satkhira Customs authorities and the truck was seized.

A case has been field with the Sadar thana.
