Tender box snatched from Sharishabari UZ engineer's office: 2 JCD men arrested

Two JCD leaders, Hanifuddin and Belal Hossain were arrested at night.

According to police and sources in the engineer's office, JCD men equipped with arms snatched the tender box in front of the engineer and his office staff on the last day of submission of tender called for construction of the Baushi-Kendua road. They threatened the engineer not to file any case against them.

After the incident, Sharishabari upazila BNP was divided into two groups.

A tense situation prevailed in the area.

Additional Police Super (ASP) of Jamalpur visited the spot. Police were deployed at the engineer's office and residence.
