JCD demands CUCSU election
Chittagong University (CU) unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) on Monday submitted a memorandum to the Vice Chancellor demanding immediate holding of election to Chittagong University Central Students' Union (CUCSU).
JCD threatened a tougher agitation for non-fulfillment of demantheir after the Eid-ul-Azha vacation.
JCD sources told The Daily Star they would launch a mass signature campaign and hold meetings in support of their demand.
Among others, JCD president Md Selim and general secretary MR Chowdhury were present during submission of the memorandum.
Last CUCSU election was held in February, 1990.
