96 RU employees face dismissal threat

The employees were asked to help confirm jobs of 546 controversial employees or face dismissal.

Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof KHM Shahadat Hossain Mondol asked them to convince Abu Aslam, a lawyer to withdraw the case filed against the university authorities challenging the controversial recruitment.

After the incident, the employees assembled near the administration building and decided to lunch a tougher agitation.

The Pro-VC denied to have made such threat. He said, 'I simply requested them to convince their leaders for withdrawal of the case.'

The High Court stayed the recruitment order ignoring the employees' demands.
