JUCSU election demanded
Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) activists on Monday organised a rally on the Jahangirnagar University (JU) campus demanding immediate holding of JUCSU (Jahangirnagar University Central Students' Union) election.
The rally was held in front of old Arts Faculty building.
Among others, JCD university unit president Parvez Mallick, general secretary Nazmul Hasan, Robi, Joni and Zia addressed the rally.
Earlier, the JCD activists also brought out a procession from the Social Science Faculty and paraded the campus streets chanting slogans in support of their demand.
JUCSU election was suspended for 13 years following JCD attack on university teachers at the Teachers' Club in 1992.
