Steps to stop smuggling of hides and skin
Deputy Commissioner Rafiqul Islam at a meeting with high officials of BDR and police asked them to Step up vigilance along the border so that hides and skin can not be smuggled to India after the Eid-ul-Azha.
Tannery owners also attended the meeting held at the collectorate building.
The meeting took a number of decisions. Police will be kept deployed at strategic points in Rangpur town for three days during the Eid and mobile teams of BDR and police will patrol the bordering highways.
