More bodies decry grenade attack
The Anti Imperialism Teachers Forum of Rajshahi University in a statement yesterday strongly condemned the killing of Awami League stalwart and former finance minister Shah AMS Kibria and four other party activists in a grisly grenade attack at Boidder Bazar in Habiganj on Thursday.
They said the nation has lost a renowned diplomat, economist and political figure in his death.
The also said, the government has no right to remain in power as it has failed to maintain law and order and ensure life security to people.
They demanded trial and punishment to the culprits.
In a condolence message, they also prayed for the salvation of the departed soul.
Pro-liberation Doctors' Associa-tion, Mahila Parishad, Progressive Lawyers' Forum, Rajshahi unit of Bangladesh Krishak League, Chhatra Moitri, Rajshahi Metropolitan Press Club, Rajshahi University Journalists' Association and Muktijuddho Pathagar, among many other organisations, issued statements condemning the attack and demanding punishment of the culprits.
