Patuakhali Govt School SSC centre cancelled
Thirteen teachers including six of the school have been punished.
The Board took the decisions at a high level meeting, held on December 30. A letter to this effect reached the headmaster of the school on February 1, according to sources.
Members of the board's Disciplinary Committee, Controller of Examinations and other high officials attended the meeting, the sources said.
The six teachers of Jubillee High School involved in the forgery have been barred from duty in public examinations under the Board for rest of their service life. They are Sabita Majumder, Subhas Chandra Shil, Faruq Alam, Ibrahim Khalil, Hasan Raja Pasha and Kayi Habibur Rahman,
The rest seven teachers of other schools, who were 'external examiners' during last year's SSC examination, have been barred from examination duty for five years.
The Board also decided that examinees from Jubillee High School will appear at SSC examination at nearby Government Girls High School.
Faruq Alam, an assistant teacher of Jubilee School, had demanded a deep tube well to DANIDA engineer Mizanur Rahman, father of SSC examinee Maksudur Rahman (Roll No. 100042).
Mizanur Rahman could not fulfil the demand. So the teacher, in connivance with others, changed the marks on the answer script Maksudur Rahman had scored in practical examination.
As a result, Maksudur Rahman field in SSC exam in 2004. After publication of the SSC result, Mizanur Rahman filed a complaint with the Chairman of Barishal Board.
The Board's Disciplinary Committee investigated the matter and found the allegation true.
