UN rights forum slams systematic abuse in Myanmar
The UN's top human rights body on Thursday sharply criticised "systematic" abuse by Myanmar's military junta, calling on it to restore democracy and free all political prisoners, including opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi.
The 53-member UN Human Rights Commission passed a resolution without a vote expressing "grave concern at the ongoing systematic violation of human rights ... of the people of Myanmar."
